The Department of Physics at St. Stephen’s College is delighted to host the International Conference on Innovative Materials (ICIM-2024) on November 21-22, an event that promises to be a landmark gathering for the global scientific community. This conference is dedicated to exploring the latest breakthroughs and emerging trends in materials science, offering a unique platform for leading scientists, researchers, and industry experts from around the world to share their knowledge and innovations. ICIM-2024 will feature an array of invited lectures delivered by distinguished scientists who are recognized for their significant contributions to the field. In addition to keynote presentations, the conference will host a series of oral sessions and poster exhibitions, allowing participants to present their research findings and engage with a diverse audience of peers, faculty, and students. The conference will be held in a hybrid mode, with a combination of both in-person and online sessions. ICIM-2024 aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encourage the exchange of ideas, and inspire the next generation of researchers to push the boundaries of materials science.

Full papers submitted to the International Conference on Innovative Materials (ICIM-2024) will undergo peer review and be published in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series (SCOPUS indexed) by the Institute of Physics (IOP). Only papers with scientific importance and novelty will be considered. Article publishing charges shall be paid for each accepted paper.

Awards and Recognition
Best Oral Presentation Award
This award will recognize the most compelling and insightful oral presentation, judged on the basis of content, delivery, and the ability to stimulate discussion and collaboration.
Best Poster Presentation Award
This award will honor the poster that demonstrates exceptional clarity, originality, and significance in its research findings. Both creativity in design and the ability to engage the audience will be key criteria.
Special Call for Undergraduate Students
InnoMat Poster Challenge 2024
An exciting competition primarily focused on students pursuing a B.Sc. or B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics, Chemistry, or any related discipline from any reputed university/college in Kerala. The competition is designed to showcase innovative and informative ideas specifically related to materials science. Each team, consisting of two students, is invited to explore novel concepts, review existing research, or present application-oriented ideas that connect materials science to real-world problems.
Conference Proceedings
The Abstract book (with ISBN Number) of the conference will be published, which will include all the accepted abstracts. Papers presented at the conference will be eligible for submission to the conference proceedings.
